tell it to the mountain, bruce mcrae

I said to the mountain.
And the mountain grumbled.

I am nothing

And the mountain shook back

I’m still here!
I shouted to the summit.
And the mountain reflected
on a blood-orange sun.
I heard an avalanche of laughter.
